Scope of Work
The Classroom and Pool Building project at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El included the new construction of a Two-Story, 20,000 GSF Classroom Building and 2,000 GSF Pool Building. The projects objective included a classroom building with eight classrooms, teacher work rooms and electrical and mechanical rooms. The scope also included a playground relocation, parking lot expansion, as well as all the associated civil and site work. Although, the construction of the building itself was very basic, comprised mostly of concrete columns, beams and pre-cast joists, the logistics of the site made it a complete challenge. The site was located in close proximity to the existing school buildings, basically creating a horseshoe effect. In addition, there was only one pick/drop off area for the parents and students, which was located within a few feet of the site. ANF overcame these obstacles and was successful in maintaining safe distances between the children and construction, and kept the project on schedule without any interruption to the Temple’s daily activities.
The project also included a 2,000 SF concrete pool building, pool and full size out door basketball playing area. The building itself accommodated boy’s and girl’s locker rooms and bathrooms. In addition, a new parking lot was constructed, including, new fencing, landscaping and irrigation.
