Now President of ANF Development, Nelson Fernandez has taken on many roles since starting at ANF Group, Inc. in 1984. He was previously involved in property management and business development, and most recently served as Executive Vice President. Nelson’s work history encompasses extensive experience in professional and medical office space build-out and tenant coordination, including lease negotiations. He has developed close to 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space throughout South Florida, engaged across all aspects of development from land acquisition, entitlement, financing, leasing, and property management.
As an active participant in many local organizations, Nelson is on the Board for the Urban League of Broward County, is a Board Member of Peaceful Haven Ranch Group Home, a member of the NSU Ambassador’s Board, and the former Chair for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. He has also served on boards for Career Source Broward, The EASE Foundation, and the United Way Ambassadors. Nelson has been recognized annually by the South Florida Business Journal as one of their Power Leaders 250 from 2019 to 2024.
The work we do extends beyond the physical structures. Our projects improve the lives of South Floridians and our communities, and there isn’t more important work than that. I’m proud of the impact ANF has made in the past over 40 years and am excited for the future.
